Apple is desperate to keep iOS 10 running smooth and free of bugs and, to that end, they are issuing a lot of updates in quick succession. The latest is iOS 10.2.1 download [ext link], a release to fix bugs that arose on iOS 10.2 for some users. However, while it is great that they are doing this, it isn’t such good news for jailbreakers because, despite iOS 10 being out for some weeks now, we are still waiting for a jailbreak. Those who have updated beyond iOS 9.3.3 can no longer use PPHelper jailbreak, which is the very latest utility available, and that means missing out on the modifications we have come to rely on.

While we wait for a new version of Cydia to be released, we have found an alternative in the form of Extensify. It doesn’t provide as much functionality as Cydia does but it will allow you to download tweaks, or Exos, for stock iOS apps. Rather than modifying the stock app, you download a modified version and can choose which one you want to run. Extensify does not need a jailbreak and it will work on iOS 10.2.1.
Supported Devices :
The following devices on iOS 10.2 can run Extensify:
- iPhone 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6S, 6 Plus, 6S Plus, SE, 7, 7Pus
- iPad Air, Air 2
- iPad Mini, Mini 2, Mini 3
- iPad 4
- iPad Pro
- iPod Touch 6th Generation
How to Download Extensify on iOS 10.2.1 :
There are two ways to do this:
Method 1 : Safari
- Open Safari browser on your device

- When the page has loaded, tap on the UP arrow [ top or bottom of the screen ]

Method 2 : Extensify Helper
Extensify Helper has been ruthlessly tested and is now available for public download. The tool makes installing Extensify much easier and, if you head over to our Extensify Helper page you will find full instructions on how to download it, along with the download links, on both Windows and Mac computers.
While Extensify isn’t as deep as Cydia it is a decent alternative to tide us over until the iOS 10.2.1 jailbreak [ext link] is released. It will also suit those who don’t want to jailbreak but still want some degree of modification on their iOS devices.
